Sandy Bay Self Catering accommodation is located minutes away from miles of unspoilt, sandy beach in the tranquil coastal village of Sandhead.
The area is renowned for the surrounding, unspoilt countryside. The bustling ferry town of Stranraer lies approximately ten miles away. The properties also serve as an ideal base for exploring the cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh, only a few hours drive away.
The property is owned and managed by the Fisher family, who also own the Tigh Na Mara Hotel, a short walk away. A warm welcome awaits, whether you are popping in for a light bite at lunch, sampling our delicious dinner menu or enjoying a “ wee dram” in our friendly, public bar.
Guests who prefer a more active break can choose from an abundance of walking, cycling, fishing or golfing activities the area has to offer. Alternatively, there are a variety of good, local shops and places to eat to be explored.
Sandy Bay House is located within the grounds of the hotel and has a large living room which is located on the first floor of the property with spectaular sea views. Sleeps 4 (Super King Size Ensuite & Twin Room with Family Bathroom) a Z bed can be added for toddler or young child.
Sandy Bay House is located within the grounds of the hotel and has off road parking which can be limited due to high volume of restaurant and hotel guests, however there is ample free roadside parking in front of the property.

A well equipped, modern kitchen with fully integrated appliances. Built in gas range hob and double oven, washer / dryer, fridge / freezer, microwave, built-in coffee machine and
dishwasher included. All crockery, cutlery and utensils supplied.
The property has an open plan living space, incorporating the kitchen and dining area and with double doors leading out onto the patio area, within a enclosed patio area overlooking the
woodland.
Lounge
The lounge has comfortable, leather seating, an electric feature fire and a digital flat screen TV & DVD player.
There is also a wireless speaker to airplay all your favourite music.
Bedrooms
The property has two bedrooms, one ground floor king size double with private shower room and one first floor twin room with shared family bathroom, therefore sleeps four people.
(Additional Z bed can be added to the ground floor double on request.)
Each bedroom has a flat screen TV. There is also ample storage space available.
Toiletries and towels are provided.

Children are welcome and high chairs and travel cots are available free upon request – guests must bring their own linen for travel cots.
The property has ample free parking.
Pets are welcome , however there is a small service charge of £2 per day for a maximum of two pets per booking. (select as an optional extra online)

Full, Scottish breakfast is available at the Tigh na Mara Hotel only yards away. This should be pre-booked and costs £6.95 per person. Guests are also welcome to eat in the hotel’s

Sandy Bay House is available for weekly lets, starting on Monday & Friday, however short breaks are also available, starting on Monday for 4 nights, or Friday for 3 nights.
